This 8-lesson course will provide you with an introduction to the Japanese Jo Staff. Get a good warmup and stretch with each class, and begin your journey into the subtleties of a simple, yet elegant, martial arts weapon. Lots of partner excercises and drills, along with sparring practice!

We have all the staffs – just come prepared to get a solid workout, some new skills, and tremendous enjoyment of an ancient art. As usual, JO10 is taught in an outdoor environment, rain or shine!

This 8-lesson course is a follow-up to the JO10 course. Continue your journey with the Japanese Short Staff, building upon what you’ve learned already and discovering more guards, more defense and attack techniques, and more advanced kata. As always, there will be a  solid warmup and stretch with each class, and plenty of partner exercises and drills, along with new kinds of sparring practice!

Like the pre-requisite JO10 course, JO20 is taught in an outdoor environment, rain or shine!
